Pubnight

Gestern habe ich mich beim Mittagessen einfach mit jemand Fremden an einen Tisch gesetzt, zu meinem Glück. Das war eine andere deutsche Doktorantin und die hat mich gleich noch in einiges eingeführt, dass ich noch nicht wusste. Jeden Freitag abend zum Beispiel gibt es einen Institutspub im Speisesaal. Dort gibt es dann günstiges Bier und es wird Pizza bestellt. Bin dann gestern gleich dort geblieben und habe recht viele andere Doktoranten und Post-docs kennengelernt. Ist super nett und lustig. Nachts mit dem Fahrrad heim ist auch kein Problem wenn auch etwas gruselig durch den Wald. Aber es ist alles beleuchtet.

Yesterday at lunch I sat down at a table with a stranger, lucky me. Turns out it was another PhD-student from Germany and she told me a lot of things that I didn't know yet. For example, every Friday night they have a department pub where you meet in the cafeteria and have cheap beer and order pizza. So I stayed there yesterday and I met a lot of other PhD-students and Post-docs. It was super nice and fun. And biking home and night is also not a problem, but it is a bit creepy through the woods. But everything is lit-up.
