Erster Arbeitstag - First day of work

Es gibt hier unglaublich viele Spielplätze. Alle 20 Meter ein neuer! Und sogar im Supermarkt gibt es eine Kinderbetreuung mit Klettergerüst damit man in Ruhe einkaufen gehen kann.

Ich hatte heute meinen ersten Arbeitstag. Eine der Postdocs hat mich herum geführt und gezeigt wo alles ist, wo mein Arbeitsplatz ist und wo ich Schlüssel und alles weitere bekomme. Allerdings habe ich nichts bekommen da alle noch im Urlaub sind und erst Montag wiederkommen. Mein Arbeitsplatz ist in einem Büro mit 2 weiteren Doktoranten und es gibt einen Schrank mit Büromaterialien an dem man sich bedienen kann. Ich habe heute also ein wenig gearbeitet und bin dann wieder heim. Da ich morgen nicht in mein Büro komme, habe ja noch keine Schlüssel, werde ich vermutlich von zu Hause aus arbeiten. Montag ist dann wohl der erste richtige Arbeitstag.

My workplace

There are so many playgrounds here. Every twenty meters a new one! Even in the supermarket there is a playground with child care so you can have a relaxed time when grocery shopping. 

I had my first day of work today. One of the postdocs showed me around, I got my workplace and she told me where I could pick up keys and such things. However, I didn't get anything because everyone else is still on vacation and are only coming back to work on monday. My workplace is in an office with 2 other PhD students and also, there is a closet filled with office supplies where you can everything you need. So I worked a little today and then went back home. Since I can't get into my office tomorrow (no keys), I will work from home. So I guess monday is going to be my first real work day.
